High Notes In First Position
The locations of the notes on the high E string are the same as the low E string, but they are two octaves up. There are five notes in this range in first position. These notes are mostly used to play melodies. In order to play the A on the high E string, stretch your hand over and use your pinky finger.
Fret 1: Index, Fret 2: Middle, Fret 3: Ring, Fret 4/5: Pinky.
