Goal: To demonstrate your ability to (i) read middle notes on the staff, (ii) listen to melodies and write them down, and (iii) compose your own melody using your knowledge of the middle notes on guitar

How to Complete the Assignment:

• Lines 1-5: Perform the music as written.

• Line 6: Listen to the backing track and move the notes to match what is being played. The rhythms are already given to you.

• Line 7: Create your own melody using middle notes and chord tones. The chord tones are listed below each chord. Try using passing tones in between chord tones as well as repetition, space, and syncopation to make the melody more memorable.
